Yağız is part of our Data Protection team as an accomplished privacy professional specializing in consultancy, compliance, audits, and training for both local and cross- border data protection legislation including Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), GDPR, CCPA and information security standards (ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS, ISO/IEC 27701 PIMS).

With a deep understanding of national and international data protection regulations, and international security standards like ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701, Yağız empowers businesses to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of data protection with confidence.
Yağız's expertise extends beyond legal counsel. He possesses a genuine passion for data privacy and believes in fostering a robust ecosystem where businesses can thrive while respecting individual rights. This conviction fuels his involvement in cutting-edge legal technology development. He has been instrumental in the idea and product development stages of Verilogy, KVKKarar, and Lex Progress, each innovative tool contributing to a more secure and transparent data environment.
This dedication to knowledge dissemination also spills over into academia. Since 2021, Yağız has served as co-director of the Bilgi University - Privacy Innovation Lab, where he mentors the next generation of data privacy professionals and spearheads research initiatives that shape the future of data protection.
Prior to joining KP Law's Data Protection unit in December 2023, he honed his legal acumen as an attorney at another law firm and further refined his strategic skillset as a senior consultant at a privacy consultancy firm. Each experience added a new layer of expertise to his already formidable arsenal, making him the ideal guide for companies navigating the intricate world of data protection.
