The Personal Data Protection Authority (“Authority") has published the "Recommendations on the Protection of Personal Data in the Field of Artificial Intelligence" guideline!
The guideline provides recommendations for the purposes of protecting personal data within the scope of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data for developers, manufacturers, service providers and decision makers operating in the field of artificial intelligence.

The guideline published on 15.09.2021 includes recommendations for the work done/to be done in the field of artificial intelligence, and it is also stated that it is aimed to provide clarity on the protection of personal data within the scope of these studies. During the preparation of the guideline, the Authority has mentioned that it has benefitted from "Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence and Personal Data Protection" published by the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe, the "Recommendation of the Council on Artificial Intelligence" prepared by the OECD and the "Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI" of the Council of Europe.
